Finally! A new episode of Sandy's Podchatter! And a fairly long on top of that! After the big discussion on plagiarism that swept through the romance community a week or two ago, I thought it might be a good idea to talk a bit about the kind of research that is necessary to write a historical romance. So in this episode I'm talking about historical London and the books I use to put together my London settings. Enjoy!

I just want to let you know that I've neither forgotten you, nor have I dropped off the edges of the earth. Oh yes, and I haven't been abducted by aliens, either! Horray! :)

What has happened is this: I've been thrown into deadline hell. I've got another book due by the end of March, and so far, I still need to write a little more than 100 pages. (As I said, deadline hell.)

Nevertheless, I hope I'll somehow manage to squeeze in another podcaste episode sometime soon!

I recorded this episode at uni yesterday, shortly before rushing to my class. Thus, apart from a tiny bit about the BLC 2006, I'm mainly talking about Old English stuff, namely about kennings and Old English riddles (the translations of the riddles are my own). This episode is definitely different from the others, but I hope you'll enjoy it! :O)
